We took on this project because we’ve heard from practitioners (and seen for ourselves) that e-filing can be a pretty complicated process. The requirements aren’t always clearly outlined, and they can vary significantly between courts and across jurisdictions. Just locating the necessary information is a challenge in its own right; sometimes it’s buried several pages deep in an obscure practice direction, while other times it doesn’t seem to exist anywhere.
Courts are responsible for making the rules, but they don’t necessarily have the time or resources to make sure things are presented in a uniform and accessible way. That means every time you visit a court website, you’ll likely have to do some digging to find the information you need.
Streamlining that kind of process is what we do best. We know that lawyers have more important things to do than go spelunking on court websites, so we decided to make it our job to compile all the information out there into something that’s convenient and easy to use.
